Èidean works with natural fibers chosen for their character and endurance. Our blends include Koomal, silk, wool, and cotton, materials selected for their softness, strength, and natural breathability. Each fiber is responsibly sourced and spun in New Zealand using low-impact processes that honor both the land and the craft. The result is fabric that feels exceptional from the first wear and endures beautifully through time.
Koomal from New Zealand
Koomal is a rare fiber harvested from an invasive species that threatens New Zealand’s native ecosystems. By using Koomal, we help restore ecological balance while creating yarn of remarkable warmth, lightness, and softness. Naturally hollow fibers trap heat and resist pilling, giving Koomal blends an unmatched warmth-to-weight ratio and enduring smoothness. It is blended with other natural fibers to enhance strength and texture. Each strand is refined to around 16 microns, resulting in garments that feel weightless yet enduring.
AUSTRALIAN COTTON
Our cotton is grown in Australia using advanced water management and soil conservation practices that support long-term land health. Each fiber is naturally soft, breathable, and strong, chosen for comfort that endures through wear and time. When blended with silk and Koomal, it adds structure and lightness, creating garments that move easily across seasons.
Mulberry Silk
Our mulberry silk is OKEO-TEX Standard 100 certified and sourced through fair trade suppliers who uphold the long tradition of silk making with care and precision. At approximately 11 microns, it is among the finest natural fibers, added sparingly to enhance softness, strength, and an effortless drape throughout the knit.
PERINO
We blend the finest New Zealand Merino wool and Australian cotton with carefully chosen natural fibers to create garments that are softer, lighter, and luxuriously comfortable. Our commitment to quality and sustainability ensures that all materials meet the strict European Union REACh standards, free from harmful chemicals.
